US COAST GUARD AUXILIARY - Flotilla 22-02

  • Blessing of the Fleet Parade of Boats

    Over 100 vessels are expected to parade past the Village Dock and receive blessings from area clergy and salutes from elected officials, yacht club flag officers and Coast Guard as we commence another boating season.

  • Response, Training & Fire Vessels at Village Dock

    US Coast Guard Response Boat, Coast Guard Auxiliary Patrol Facilities, the Northport Fire Department Fire Boat, a 60 foot tug boat from the US Merchant Marine Academy are expected to join working fishing boats for all to tour and see at the Village Dock.

  • Seaworthy Activities for All in Village Park

    Opportunities to try your hand at Coast Guard lifesaving skills (including man-over-board life ring tosses, may day calls, fire fighting and more), presentations on the Incredible Oyster, its impact on water quality and volunteer opportunities in oyster gardening.

    See historical re-enactors from the Huntington Militia complete with cannon and flintlocks. Learn about the Patriots’ Whaleboats in resisting British occupation of Long Island.

  • Maritime History & Art

    Learn about Northport’s maritime past including its boat building and oyster industries.

  • Festive Music Throughout

    Music will waft from the Village Park setting the festive atmosphere with a featured presentation by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Band.

  • Best Maritime Brew Competition

    Entries from Northport area breweries are invited again to vie for Best Maritime Brews.

  • Volunteer Opportunities with US Coast Guard Auxiliary and Others - Come join us!

    There’s a wide range of opportunities to serve as part of Team Coast Guard including Public Education, Boater Safety, Environmental and Surface (on-the-water) missions to direct support to active duty Coast Guard at Station Eaton’s Neck.
